Proud Momma

Last time I wrote about our church nursery we were at a different church. A very large, very overcrowded church. Since I worked in the nursery there, I can tell you that the workers were over-worked and over-whelmed. The ratio of adults to kids was usually around 1 to 14 or 15 in my class full of 18 month olds!

Micah was still young enough when we were going there that he stayed in the service ith us most of the time. I think that was more about us feeling unsure about leaving him even for an hour in such an over-crowded environment. But, we LOVE the nursery where Micah is now, at our new church.

For starters, there only only two kids besides Micah in his class. So, he gets plenty of attention! He only occassionally shows any hesitation when we leave him with his teachers, Mrs. Glenda and Miss Lauren. Usually, we set him down and he's off at a fast paced heading toward the shelves of toys. He really seems to love being around the other kids, so I'm glad he gets that kind of stimulation at least once a week. Even Mrs. Glenda's husband, who helps out occasionally, loves to see Micah when, and Micah goes to his open arms eagerly. It's fun to see people not related to Micah form an attachment to him.

The teachers always give us updates on how he did, and it's always complimentary. But, today, there was a new lady working during my Bible Study time. After the 2 hour study, I went back to get Micah and she wouldn't let him go! She went on and on about how much fun she had with him and she kept asking if he was always that good. She even asked if I ever needed a babysitter, and she volunteered herself for the job! It was great to hear. And it's even nicer to see how much fun Micah has there. I can't wait to get his teachers a great Christmas gift as a thank you!
