So, here's some GREAT news about Micah. He's saying buh and ba like crazy! May not seem like a big deal to you, but we've welcomed in the consonants!! Aidios Autism scare! He talks the most when no one's around which is very odd. Or come to think of it, maybe it's just very Terry. (I swear I've got a mini-me situation on my hands!) If you aren't looking at him or talking to him, you can catch him having elaborate conversations with anything--a sock, his puppy, even the Christmas garland! But, as soon as he sees you watching him, or if you try to talk to him, he stops chattering!
The bad is that I'm having a helluva time with this new stage Micah's in. He's so curious that he's in to everything! That makes getting anything done impossible! Try sweeping when little hands keep chasing the broom, or crawling through the dust pile! Yuck! And this kid HATES being confined- hates it! So, when I need to do things like clean the bathrooms, I have to wait to squeeze it into a nap because there's no way he'll stay in his jumper or playpen when Mom is moving around so much doing new and exciting things! And usually, when he's down for a nap, I just want to read the Bible, email, or have lunch--anything but clean! Quite the challenge!
My goal for next year is to be able to afford a gym membership. I can pay for a Jr. membership at Lifetime for Micah for only $6 a month and get two hours of childcare time for him per day. I could go work out, get my nails done (am I the last to know gyms have spas and salons in them?), and even go the the juice bar and just sit and read while he's playing with other kids! It will be good for both of us!
