It's really exciting watching Micah try to stand and walk. He's getting the standing thing down well, and every once in a while he'll attempt a step. But, he still won't let us help him!
We picked him up from the nursery after church Sunday and realized there was a teeny little girl in her carseat, in a crib. We laughed when the teacher told us they had to put the little girl in their to protect her...from Micah's overwhelming affection! He can't get enough of babies and little kids! He's so social!
Terry's contacts were bothering him the other night (I think it's from prolonged computer-use. He's been working like crazy. Last night he was in the office until 9, came home, ate dinner, worked another hour, and left the house at 4:30 a.m. today). He took his contacts out and put on his glasses. He doesn't wear his glasses often since they're over a decade old and pretty out of style! And this is the first time Micah's been observant enough to notice a difference. He just couldn't figure out why Daddy looked so odd! He just stared at him, and found it bizarre. It's funny to see his brain working so hard to figure things like that out.
We can tell he's starting to understand a lot of language. He knows who cookie monster, Mickey Mouse, and his cow are, and he can find them on command. He understands 'no,' but still ignores it. And he knows what bye-bye means.
And he's FINALLY got a tooth poking through! It broke through the gum yesterday and it's pretty cute! I'm hoping the drool will be gone by Christmas!
