We had a small party at Stomping Ground and Terry and I both agreed that it beats any party we'd had at our house. It was wonderful to just show up with minimal planning! And to get to actually spend the day playing with our kids was awesome. Normally we're busy "hosting" or getting the next game ready. Stomping Ground was a blast and I'm officially sold on having smaller parties "on location," rather than large ones at the house!
And, especially important, the kids had a blast!!
Caleb loves Mickey Mouse, so that just had to be our theme. It's hard to read the cake, but it says "Look Who's Two!" Terry and I had red hands for 24 hours after making these red, fondant Mickey's for the cupcakes!

This is Crystal and Nik (on the other side of that second yellow ball) teaching their son Jakob who's boss! They were bouncing him in between those giant balls.
Here's a better (sort of) shot of Nik. Yes, most of us parents had just as much fun inside the tunnels as the kids! We were red and sweaty when the night was over!
This is Micah standing in front of his "batman changer" slide. It's a really long slide that twists and turns. Micah would tell everyone that if you went down it, you would come out the other side as Batman! He'd stand at the exit and when a kid would come sliding out he'd say, "Now YOU'RE Batman! Now YOU'RE Batman!"

And here I am crashing at the bottom of the slide. We tried at least half a dozen times to get a good photo of us mid-slide. Oh well, the trying was fun!

At most of the kids parties we go to, the children are opening gifts once they're home and the party is over. We had to join in on that new custom for Caleb's second party because we only had our party room at Stomping ground for 2 hours. I couldn't stand the thought of asking the kids to stop playing so they could watch gift opening. What do y'all think?

And he was so excited to see that he got a Buzz doll!
This Buzz doll has ALL the bells and whistles. There's not a part of his body that doesn't shoot something, light up, or make him talk. Which is kind of a problem since Caleb likes to sleep with him! We have to sneak in once he's asleep and try our hardest not to set Buzz off while we pull him from Caleb's arms!
He also got a Buzz towel, so now he wears it when Micah uses his own Woody towel.
He loved this Woody doll, too!
Caleb Jackson, you got the short end of the stick last year when our family was so busy that you had to grow out of babyhood a little too fast. But you've turned into the most adorable little toddler and we are very proud of all you do! Mommy and Daddy pray for your enigmatic personality to continue to blossom. You are an absolute joy! Happy Birthday, Rowdy!

Looks like fun - I hate that the girls had to miss it. (at least they don't know that they missed it! :) The pics of Caleb opening his Buzz doll are PRECIOUS. What a handsome little guy he is!!
