Dear Baby,
How are you doing in there? Seems like you're getting a little cramped. So sorry about that, but you've only got 9 more weeks.
When you come home, it might be a little scary at first. It will be louder and brighter than you're used to, but your Daddy and I will be there.
You're growing right on track and your heartbeat is always so strong! We're so proud of you and can't wait to bring you home.
I think you'll like your new house. It's small, but cozy (kind of similar to where you are now!). We've got a big room and a big bed all ready for you. Of course, for a while, I'll want you to sleep nearby so that your night time snacks are easier.
We have a bouncy chair and an activity mat already set up for you. Whenever I walk by your room, it makes me ache for when you'll be here. Your bibs already have a drawer in our kitchen, and your bottles have their own shelf.
Daddy says he hopes you like baseball and football and basketball. I think he's excited to have some testosterone in the house. He can't wait until you're big enough to play X-Box with him.
Daddy and I laughed a lot the other night over the little hiccups you had. We love feeling you move and squirm. But, if you could practice your kicks a little higher, say, a few inches above my bladder, that would be nice.
You have a lot of people out here who are anxious to meet you. Plenty of grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends who want to play with you. I think you'll have fun with them. Aunt Jill and Uncle Bill have a pool, now. I bet you'll like visiting them, huh? Don't worry, Uncle Bill may look big and scary, but he's just a big softy.
I love you very much, baby. And so does your daddy. Did you hear him tell you so, last night? Are you enjoying hearing about the Hippopotamus? Daddy sure does like reading about it to you.
Take care of yourself in there, and we'll be talking real soon.
Love,
Mommy
