We Made It One Whole Week!

Well, Micah and I both survived an entire week of me working. It wasn't without hiccups or stress, but we made it.

I had a few issues with our childcare (sitter's car broke down the second day!) and I think the reliability of a montessori or daycare will put me more at ease. But, Micah does really like Alyssa and he loves being with Aunt Kelly once a week, too. Can't you tell he's having fun?





If it were anyone else I'd tell them how lucky they were to be able to work only part-time and spend the rest of the day with their children. Because it is really a rare blessing to be able to do it. But when it's me, it's still hard to relinquish control and expect that someone else will provide in the same way I do.

And since Micah's officially entered the Terrible Two's this week, I have to wonder if he's acting out in an attempt to get more attention. I'm not at all a fan of him throwing himself down and wailing every time he's told no. I've got to get us both adjusted to the new schedule and then hopefully I'll have my calm, mild-mannered child back. (Or it could be here to stay and in that case I believe it's time for the next parenting book in the James Dobson series!!)
