Checking In On Caleb

It's been a while since I shared about the baby of our family.

Caleb's doing really well! He's 19 months old. He loves to play outside. He's always going up to the back door and saying, "ide! ide!" Which is his version of "outside." And he likes to bring us his shoes and point to the front door.

He's still a picky eater which is keeping his weight down on the lower end. And that makes fitting his clothes pretty hard. Micah was always 50% percentile in height and weight so he fit into his specific age sized clothes really well. It's more difficult with Caleb who is too thin for 18 month old clothes still.

He is pretty hyper still, although we've seen an improvement as we've worked with him. He loves to play in the toy kitchen right now. He's always bringing us tiny pots and pans with spoons and saying "Eee! Eee!" (His version of "eat.")

He still loves Mickey ("Key") Mouse and now he's pretty fond of Woody ("uh-EEE") and Buzz.

He and Micah are interacting wonderfully. Their different personalities are blending nicely and they encourage each other (as best people with such small vocabularies can!) in good ways. Last time we dropped them off at PNO (Parent's Night Out) at church, they were two rooms away from each other while we went to dinner for a few hours. When we picked them up I got Micah from his room while Terry got Caleb. They saw each other in the hallway and ran to each other, meeting in the middle in a huge hug! It was so sweet because they'd only been apart for three hours but they'd obviously missed each other.

singing "Skinna-ma-rink-a-dink" (How in the world do yo spell that name?) He gets so excited and jumpy when we start it!
cuddling! He is so snuggly and loves to fnd you and climb into your lap no matter what you're doing!

Caleb dislikes:
riding in the car
eating in his highchair (he'd walk around during every meal if he could)
grocery shopping
