Walking and Roasting

We've been enjoying the cooler weather and going on lots of walks around the trails in our apartment. There's one apartment right near the courtyard that has gone all out with their outdoor Christmas lights and the kids like to walk to see it on a regular basis. And when we get home, they always ask for hot chocolate.

One day we decided to let them roast marshmallows on a candle. (We realize that gives us points in the "bad parent" category. Totally dangerous-- but yummy!)

They tried the marshmallows warm, And they tried them brown and crispy.

In the end, they liked them straight from the bag, while Oh-gey Gai looked on...

And I'm hopeful they'll like the Toy Story Jessie doll that 'Santa' brings them. She comes with a tent and marshmallows that turn brown when they're held over the little bonfire.

That's hilarious that the boys ask for hot chocolate after seeing Christmas lights! So wonderfully cheesy! ;)
