First Astros Game!
Terry got tickets to a Sunday game for his birthday. For various reasons we'd planned on Caleb and I to stay home (nursing, heat, etc). But at the last minute I decided that I was tired of missing out on fun things with Micah (because I'm nursing, I'm often with Caleb while Terry gets to be the fun parent with Micah. And I get jealous!! :) and so I joined them.
The Astros lost but Caleb and Micah didn't really care. They still had a great time.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Micah's been waiting and waiting for fireworks. We showed him some online so he knew they go high in the sky and that they say Boom!
We spent July 3rd at my dad's. He lives off a golf course and when dusk came we laid blankets on the green and watched the country club's fireworks display over head. It was so relaxing to be able to just walk outdside and plop down. 
On the 4th we usually head to my mom's so Terry can play with fire and shoot his own fireworks. But with a burn ban in effect this year we only got to do sparklers and one fountain. And because we'd decided to rush off to another big show, we did these things when it was still light outside. Not quite the same effect but the kids liked them anyway.
We headed to La Centerra in Katy and watched more fireworks. A church was handing out glow sticks there so we were all adorned with glowing necklaces, bracelets, and halos.
Oh, and Caleb slept through both fireworks displays!

I know exactly how you feel about being jealous of the "fun" parent!
I was thinking the same, Em! Micah is such a little clown! Love all those summery 4th pics!
