So, I know every parent says their baby is perfect, but just humor me...
Except for the last few weeks when we were dealing with acid reflux, Micah has been such an easy baby. I think by the time #2 comes around we'll be so spoiled due to Micah's docile nature, that we'll have some mighty high expectations for #2. And, if our middle child is anything like Terry and I were, then #2 will meet those expectations! ;)
I read last week on my parenting board (www.thenestbaby.com) that some moms with babies Micah's age were working with them to get them to fall asleep on their own. I laughed at that thought. When we're tired at night, Terry and I always joke, "Ok, Micah, go take your bath and go to bed. See you in the morning!"
Well, imagine my surprise when I put Micah in his bed Friday, put his pacifier in and watched him fall asleep! I was shocked! It only took 4 minutes and to be fair, I did turn the vibration of his pack 'n play on, and I did rub his little forehead twice to get him to keep his eyes closed. But, he did it, and has since done it successfully everytime I've attempted it!
And while we're on the subject of sleep, since his meds have kicked in he's been a much better daytime sleeper. He's actually taking about 3 longer naps as opposed to 1 long an 15 short before! I'm feeling so much more relaxed during the day, now that I have some time to get things done...like this blog! Unfortunately, his night time sleep is suffering a little. He's back to his old schedule of going down about 9:15. I'll feed him once more (which he sleeps through) around 10 before I go to bed. He doesn't get up until 4:00 a.m. to eat. But, before he'd go back down for 3 hours. Now his next few hours of sleep are uneasy and he wakes a lot. But, thanks to more easy-going days, I'm happy with this new schedule.

I hope our baby is as calm as that. Although I'm not looking forward to getting up at 4 am :(
I heartily concur that Micah is the most perfect baby. That is, until December comes around. :) Let's hope the co-most perfect baby is also sweet and easy to handle!
