Yesterday I celebrated my first Easter.
Momma and Daddy brought me a big Easter basket that looked like a frog. Inside was purple grass that felt funny. There was also a new Spring outfit for me, along with two of my favorite pacifiers, a duck that plays the melody of Easter Bonnet, and a cd of "50 Giggly, Wiggly, Silly Songs" for me to listen to. I just love happy music!
It was pretty cold outside, so after Momma put me in my bright Spring clothes, Daddy bundled me up in a big blue sweater and then I got strapped into my car seat. (Which I hate!) But, then Daddy lifted me up and carried me outside where the wind was blowing (which I love!). Momma and Daddy put me in the car and then Aunt Mel got in too. I think we went to church then, but I fell asleep pretty quickly, so I can't be sure.
When I woke up we were standing outside and boy was the wind blowing! We took a few pictures, then I was strapped back into that darn car seat. But, soon I was asleep and next thing I knew, we were at Grandma's house. I got to meet David! He was nice and after lunch he even rocked me to sleep! I watched him play guitar for a while and that was loads of fun! Uncle Bill held me for a while too, but then Grandma stole me and took me outside. She gave me a baseball bat that looks like a carrot. Daddy tried to get me to use it, but it was too heavy. I liked to watch him play with it, though. Grandma also gave me some clothes and a cool-looking toy to hang in my crib!
All in all it was a good day! Actually, Easter has kind of been going on for a week or two for me. I took a picture with the Easter Bunny last weekend (or so they tell me- I slept through that) and last week Aunt Kelly and Uncle Kyle gave me a baseball basket with socks and clothes and a Cookie Monster doll. And on Thursday Aunt Mel gave me an Astros cap and an Astros jersey more socks, and some wrist rattles! Easter has been exhausting! But lots of fun!
