Gender Game

This Friday, September 22 we'll finally know if our little Tater is really Micah or Lexi. Obviously we'll be thrilled with either sex and just happy to finally be able to call Tater by name.

There are different reasons why I'd like a girl and different reasons why I'd like a boy. For one, I always wanted a big brother and I'd like to give that to my own daughters. But, on the other hand, little girl outfits are so precious. Thinking of watching Terry raise a little princess just makes me melt!

However, Terry is terrfied of girls! I had to remind him today that we aren't giving birth to a 15 year old. All of his fears stem from dealing with a teenage daughter. He has more rules laid out for a girl, too. For example, they can't play softball because he thinks girls who play softball are too...I think he used the word "butch" and I know there was mention of big thighs!! (I know that Terry would actually be thrilled to have a daughter who loved sports like he does. He sure ain't gettin' any sports support from me!)

It's funny how we picture this future child! Of course we both just want them to be happy and healthy like all parents, but at the same time I'm sure that we have the usual superficial dreams of parents, too. Like Ross and Rachel say, we just hope our baby is cute, and smart, and popular, with an aptitude for science! :)

In anticipation of the big ultrasound on Friday, I ventured onto some 'determine your baby's sex' sites today. Here are some of the bizzarre questions they asked and the results.

So, I guess these are inconclusive and I'll just have to wait until Friday!

I'm a bit fascinated by these Q's and have a weird curiosity to know your answers. But more importantly, I can't wait for Friday!!
