Aren't they the cutest?
Out of the thousands of people there we ran into Dani & her kids and Patricia & her kids right before we hopped in line for the trunks. At this point, all we were doing was waiting in line and Max and the boys were unconvinced that we really were about to have fun...
This is half of the line. It circled all the way around the lawn. Which would end up being the cause of me giving up on all my "togetherness" plans...
Still in line. But at least we got to see lots of friends go by. Here's the Robersons (well, most of 'em anyway) with Cowboys and Ninjas, oh my!
Still in line and Caleb gets defiant. We have yet to even glimpse a trunk and he's losing his patience. "Hey, you guys promised me candy! What's the hold up!?"
Patricia, Lyla and Mark as Mario!
Still in line. Still empty baskets. But at least there's time to pose for a photo!
Look, we made it to the cars! Jen and Mark made their trunk into a mouth with teeth. And he dressed as a toothbrush and she was toothpaste. It was so cute!
Her hair was blue and "glopped" to the side.
I posted this photo just for anyone who ever doubted that Mark is indeed a man of God. See the light of Heaven shining down on him?! ;) All you in his small group should feel so lucky!
Unfortunately this is the only picture I got of the uber awesome Smurf House that Kim made! Warren shaved his beard just for this. And, has there ever been a cuter Smurf than Thumbelina, er, I mean, Ali?
The Bender's and Malone's looked tough in their camo. (And so did Wendy, who I didn't get a photo of bad she was rockin' the coolest pair of camo pants!)
Every single time Caleb got a piece of candy for at least the first 7 trunks, he got this happy!
And Patricia was nice enough to play along with his enthusiasm! The excitement over the sugar didn't last long for Caleb. He only made it about a third of the way through the trunks when he had a meltdown. Which meant that Terry and Micah stayed behind to finish collecting his candy and Caleb and I headed off to the toddler area. So much for family togetherness. Sniff!
Every parent of a toddler should be grateful for room 300! It's the only time you can catch your breath at Trunk or Treat. Caleb ran around and played (here he is tossing bean bags with Pacey) and I got to rest on a bench.
He played in the train.
He jumped on the bouncers.
He climbed through the tunnels.
And then big brother came back to join us! Check out those claws, man!
They did a few games together... And then they split up again because Micah wanted to go outside to the big kid bouncers.
This time I went with Micah. He went down the slide first.
Hey look- Micah is actually smiling for a photo! That almost never happens anymore!
I was smiling big time when we ran into the Cannon twins. Ever seen anything so sweet?
Then Micah went through the obstacle course (Terry was upset he didn't get to see it- see I'm not the only one who wants us to all be able to stay together!)
Micah is making the face below because I've broken some previously-stated rule about something or other. I see this face a lot.
Caleb is so independent lately! "Me do it!" This is him trying to open a lollipop.
Micah was thrilled to get a shiny gold coin for his box of pirate treasures!
Making the inevitable trade!
Micah shows me his three favorite candies. In the car ride home he told me he had 2 favorite parts of the night. "No, three! No, four! I mean FIVE!!"

Okay what is Micah's costume? Hazel is at school, or I would just ask her. I'm sure she knows. :)
I LOVE Caleb's soft football helmet. Ha ha!
