Humble Pie

Yesterday I woke up sick and the day got worse when I got a notice from the electric company that we were late on our payment and they were going to turn our electric off within one business day. We had just changed our auto payment to a new bank account and so I knew it was a screw up. But it put me in a worse mood just having to deal with it.

When they wouldn't even talk to me because the account was in Terry's name, I called him at work to pass along the news. Meanwhile I'm hacking up stuff and blowing my nose till it's raw...

And that's my excuse for jumping on Micah when he came to me while I was on the phone and said, "Mama, Mama, Mama, Mama, Mama, Mama, Mama, Mama, Mama, Mama, Mama, Mama, Mama, Mama, Mama, Mama, Mama, Mama, Mama, Mama, Mama, Mama." I ended up yelling at him and taking the coloring book out of his hand and throwing it down.

Yikes. Scary moment. So, once I was off the phone I told him I was sorry for yelling and asked him if he thought I should go to time out for my bad attitude. He said yes. But lucky for me, my little guy is considerate. He didn't let me sit there alone too long before he came and shared his coloring book with me.
