Dinner Time!

It's been a long time since the three of us sat down around our table to eat dinner. Micah's schedule is ever-evolving and there were a few weeks back in the Spring where we could all enjoy dinner together. But, then Terry started working late again and Micah couldn't wait that long to eat.

Then we had to put our Christmas tree on top of our table to keep it from Micah's curious fingers and we lost any chance at a nice dinner together.

But, work for Terry is slowing down (hoorah!) and the Christmas decorations are gone. And we are having a BLAST! Micah is so much more aware this time around and he gets a kick out of eating with us. He dives right into those finger foods and loves trying stuff off of our plates, too.

But, I think he mostly enjoys having both Terry's and my attention for so long. He hams it up for us and if something gets a laugh once, he'll repeat it endlessly. He likes to chew on his spoon, drop his cup, and put food in his hair. Yes, in his hair. He's ALWAYS done that. Even when he nursed or took a bottle he'd immediately put his hands up behind his ears and finger his hair. And he still does it now, which is BAD since he eats with his hands. Tomato sauce in his hair, corn in his ear. Nice.

Now the most hated chore in our house has gone from doing the dishes to cleaning off Micah and his high chair after dinner.
