Terry was out of town for business last night. It always makes Micah sad when we both aren't home to tuck him into bed at night and do our night-time routine. He was starting to tear up and he wanted to call Terry to tell him goodnight by phone. But Terry was in an airplane on his way home, so I couldn't call him. I tried to cheer Micah up by telling him that when Daddy got home, in the middle of the night, he would tip-toe into their bedroom and give them both kisses.
I told him that every single night since he was born, we've gone into his room after he was sleeping, to cover him with his blanket, give him one last kiss, and say a quick prayer for him. He laughed and thought that was a pretty cool thing. And he said, "And when I was in your tummy, you would just kiss your tummy every night 'cause you knew I was in there!"
So sweet!
When I went in to tuck the boys before I went to bed, they were both in Caleb's bed, snuggled up together. It was the cutest thing. I really do enjoy these late-night visits into my kids' bedroom. They always look so peaceful and happy. I love giving them one last squeeze!
