Our first Easter celebration was with the Barschs' for egg-dying fun. Connor joined us that day, too! Check out Kelly's blog for pics of that day.
There aren't any pictures from my mom's Easter (at least not until Aunt Jill emails them to me. Hint, hint.) which is really too bad because the Gomez's brought their wonderful tradition of smashing confetti eggs... a tradition that we whole-heartedly embraced. Let's just say a shower was the only way to get all that confetti off!

Our normal Easter basket tradition was altered this year. We've got a different view of money these days and so Terry and I both tried to hold back regarding gifts in their baskets. While we don't think there's anything wrong with celebrating a holy day by giving kids baskets of goodies, we still don't want to look back when our children are grown and wonder how much money we threw away on toys that piled up in their closet or toyboxes. We had such high hopes for showing restraint, but we were still unhappy with our will power! Let's just say we need a lot of prayer before we get to December and have to rearrange our gift-giving for Christmas!
